Even though originally from Dundee, Mark lived in Manchester and different places around Scotland. In the last few years he has been based around Loch Tay, first in his one man tent by Fearnan - looking after a small herd of goats - and then in Tombrek, where he carried out a lot of building work for the local community.
Mark writes songs inspired by Leonard Cohen and Ivor Cutler, which he sings in his own distinctive style, often accompanied by his good friends Iain Stewart and Katy MacLeod, who play piano, fiddle, double bass, accordion and mandolin... amongst other instruments!!! |

Last year Mark has been travelling in America and performed a few gigs in Colorado. On his return to Scotland he bought a piece of land in Caithness - in the far North of Scotland - with his brother Roy, Steph and wee Skye. They just moved up there and have started building their own small self sustaining community.
